My heart runneth over...I am so grateful for the out-pouring of support by all you dear friends, that so many of you will join in with me in helping to create an auction for Krystal! The biggest hugs to all of you! I've written to everyone by now personally. Yesterday was a great day as the comments here and emails rolled in with offers of help, inquires, etc. Evelyn and I both are ecstatic to have such a great beginning--all together we are about 14 helping hands thanks to all of you! More news with particulars about the auction and how to make a donation will be available soon. Plans are just getting started. So please stay tuned here, and at Evelyn's blog, as things happens.
With all the excitement here this week, I didn't have a chance to show you the great mail that came this week! I ordered some goodies from a couple of my blog friends, and couldn't resist showing you.
My lovely friend, Simmy, creates wonders with wool! She use natural plant dyes and achieves wonderful, soft colors. After dying the wool, she magically creates the prettiest bags and brooches. Like this pink & blue wool flower brooch. Simmy's daughter, Amber, is equally as talented and crafty as her mother, and she crocheted this scrumptious turquoise blue flower brooch. These brooches will be terrific on my lapel, on bags and scarves...And I have a mind to pin Amber's blue flower brooch to some ribbon and wear as a choker-style necklace. These goodies were wrapped so lovely.
And I was fortunate to receive some of Simmy's famous vanilla fudge! It did not last long, Dear Husband and I wolfed it all down in minutes! LOL! If you've not been by to see Simmy at Echoes of a Dream, you're in for a treat!
Also this week my order from Louise arrived. Louise is the author of the beach-themed Beachys Cape Cod Cupboard blog. Louise lives on Cape Cod...I have yet to visit that splendid place, and until I can, Louise's blog takes me there weekly! She also has a beautiful Etsy shop, Cape Cod Cupboard, full of beach-inspired finds, which is where this fabulous vintagey necklace came from! Pink pearls, shells, sparkly beads and a wonderful brooch make up this stunner of a necklace. And the necklace came in this lovely pale green floral bag and with a scrapy tag. Need something new yet for summer? Louise has lots of tempting treats, whether you're seaside bound, or just dreaming of it!
Over a month ago I ordered this DVD...it finally arrived in the mail this week. Any Gilmore Girls fans here?! I miss that show sooooo much *SNIFF* So now it's only to get the DVD's and start watching over...HOORAY! Here's Season One.
This evening we're having Dear Husband's family over for munchies & treats. It's been a while since we gathered at our place. And it's been a while since we had a big family dinner at our house, and soon must remedy that. The summer flies by...Lucikly there's to be some sunshine this weekend for a change, so we will be making the most of that. I'll be sneaking in here if I can before the weekend's over. Because believe it or not, there has been a tiny bit of crafting going on behind the scenes. So a little something to show you later.
I raise a glass in toast to you all for your kindness, generosity and friendship. Wishing you all a wonderful weekend! :o)

We have been amazed by the creativity of bloggers and these items are excellent, must go and read your previous post to find out about this auction.

Hi Tracy, I haven't even been lurking on blogs for the past month and a half, so I'm going to have fun getting updated with some of my favorite blogs, Yours is definately included in that category. I discovered a blog yesterday that seems right up your alley. I'm planning to try out her tutorial this weekend. Her url is" http://veganyumyum.com/2007/06/knit-night-cupcakes/"

Oh, I do love all your treasures! You are one lucky woman! I'll be sure to check out all those pages although I am already an ardent fan of Simmy's. She's absolutely a lovely person and I have been the recipient of her kindness on at least one occasion! I hope you had a lovely time with your family last evening. I have never seen the Gilmore Girls, but now I want to! You do love to keep us in suspence don't you, as now I am wondering whatever have you been crafting! We are off to the beach today, hopefully to catch some sunshine. (Fingers crossed!)

Such lovely mail you received here dear Tracy!! Very tempting :) :) Big hugs to you and thank you for your continued kindness. I wish I was up to your long and sweet emails, which I cherish - but I'm always so late in responding. Ah, so many things to do in the day! :)
I have been making a few bags this week and you were much in my thoughts. There is a fabric I used in particular that screamed your name :)

Oh yes I miss Gilmore Girls too! It was a great show. My husband's cousin even was an actor on two episodes so that was even more special for us. (He played the fiance of Logan's sister.) The last season wasn't as good as the rest of the show, but I think that's because the original producers were gone by then.
