Homeward Bound!
(Now let's all sing along to that Simon and Garfunkel tune...LOL! Good song, though...)
We leave very early tomorrow morning to begin our journey across the ocean. It is a long way. And once we reach our destination, the only mode of transport we'll not have used is a boat! So that gives something of an idea how much it takes to get there. I think of our family and friends waiting happily for us on the other end, and this makes the trip so worth while. For me it is always a special joy to go home, the home where I come from. Since I don't get to see everyone on any regular basis, as many families who see each other, these times are extra precious. And to be able to spend holiday, like Easter coming up, with family and friends is a wonderful thing. Today has been a flurry of packing, making ready, tieing up loose ends and all sorts.
Yesterday I had the great surprise to discover that I was given an award. Kitty over at Kitty's Bloggy Bits gave me the Cool Cat Award! So much fun...Thank you so much, Kitty! This award is for bloggers who's love of animals and their pets brightens up blogland. I read many who's love of animals and their pets is inspiring and often they share the most amusing stories and photos of their pets in action. I would like to share this award with five friends whose love for their cats is a special feature of their lives and therefore their blogs: Anne of Nikkipolani, Yolanda of Bliss, Rosie of Rosie's Whimsy and Joanne of Today We Are... and Isabelle of Kitty Couture. Congratulations, ladies! And thank you for your cat tale...and cat tails! ;o)
Speaking of tales...a new book review is in on a book I just finished reading, Me and Mr. Darcy by Alexandra Potter. Though this was a fun read in some ways, I've given this one mixed reviews. Stop by The Library to see why...
I must close for now and finish up the last packing. Our laptop computer comes along with us, and with it the hope that I can share a little of our time in America while we're there with a post or two here, or at least some photos. So until soon...Wishing all you dear friends Happy Days!
P.S. Many of you were asking about Charlie...Dear Husband's parents will kindly be looking after Charlie while we're away. So he's in very good hands! Here's our cool cat...

Have a safe and pleasant trip, dear Tracy and I will be looking forward to read your "american posts". :)
Lots of love and hugs,
x

Have a safe trip. I am tempted to read Me and Mr Darcy despite the mixed reviews. I guess no-one can capture the right mix of dash and flair quite as successfully as our Miss Austen.
