For a few days now it's been raining off & on here in southern Norway. Yesterday afternoon there was some torrential rain! And after the rain showers passed, suddenly there was this lovely light happening with the return of the sun--it was so soft and golden. The light was really enjoying itself playing in our kitchen. I was glad to have the camera handy...

Hello dear Tracy,
Thank you for your sweet visit. I also love the afternoon light. Here the weather has been the same as there, showers and the sun showing for awhile in between. Who doesn't like it is Lepooh as she is having more freedom thos summer and with the rain coming and going, it means staying at home more and not enjoying the outside so much.
I have more little renovation projects in mind and as soon as I can have them done I will be posting about them. :)
Hope you have a lovely Tuesday.
Lots of love and hugs,
x

You have caught those rays of sunlight very well Tracy. It's such a relief when the sun finally returns after days of rain. Here the sun is back too after a week of rainy (and cold, around 12 to 16 C) days.
Enjoy the blissful sunshine!

The sunshine after the rain is so special- the whole atmosphere feels lighter and brighter.

Sunshine that comes after rain is even more beautiful! Like it’s telling it’s refreshed after a shower!
I see a gorgeous bottle of Valpolicella...!
We’re having rain and sunshine and lovely temperatures!
Happy days and hugs)

Beautiful light, Tracy.
I am so glad that you were able to capture it.
Ofen now just before dusk, the light tantalizes me by shining so intensely on the sides of barns and into trees, etc.
Love it!
Great post.

We too had torrential rain yesterday followed by lovely steamy heat. I was in town at the supermarket and one poor lady trying to get into her car was up to her ankles in water. Your kitchen looks gorgeous Tracy, such calm colours.

What a sweet and magical life you must lead in Norway! I am sure it took some courage to get there. Enjoy your summer "break". Especially the raspberries. :)

I am grateful for the rain to relieve us of this heat. We also really needed the rain not only for the gardens but places like the woods are also far too dry. Even with the rain, we still have sunny moments here in Holland too. So far, it has been a real summer (even though I don't like hot weather).
Hugs ~

Lovely! Sunlight streaming into the kitchen is always a welcome and sweet sight! Sadly my kitchen doesn't receive a lot of sun due to the large trees surrounding it. But hey, I appreciate the shade from those trees in the summer! Ok, I should let you get back to finishing that wine. Before I drink it while you're not looking ;D

i bought a candle a few years ago that said on it "the sun always comes out after the rain" and i looove it.
it's such a fresh, clean feeling (not to mention, makes for great pics!)

Wonderful pictures!! It's cloudy here today, supposed to get some rain. My garden will be happy.

I'm with you, Tracy. Sunlight in the house, esp morning and afternoon can be so enchanting.

What a pretty cupboard :). I could use a nice relaxing Texas shower. Usually rainfall is accompanied by severe thunderstorms here, so they're not exactly relaxing (more exciting than anything else :). Storms are a nice break from the heat, though.

Hi Tracy
Your wonderful package arrived yesterday! I'm sorry I didn't get back on the computer last night to let you know...our Net Flick arrived and we watched the movie after dinner.
I was beyond thrilled by how beautiful all the trims were! I will blog about it in a few days as I have one post waiting in the queue. Thank you for the chocolate bar too! I enjoyed that for lunch today :-)
I have been noticing the beautiful light in the evening as our home faces west and we see the rays of sunset high in the sky. The most beautiful light here is always in autumn.
That wine in photo # 3 looked delicious...I love a good Italian red wine.
Have a great day and thanks again!
Hugs, Pat

Lovely light Tracy! We have had sunshine and showers and big storms here recently too. I think it is my favourite type of weather!

You have such a charming blog. I like the light radiating "from" the radio, as if the beams are the radio signal.

Oh that is so weird as that is just what has happened as I read your post!
Last night we had the worst rain storm with thunder & lightening & it was still really damp & grey this morning (it looked like Autumn) and then just now this wonderful soft golden sunlight has just appeared!
love

Tracy, your photos make me turn my head to the side with a smile. Your spiritual beauty shows through in everything you create and share.
Thank you for always sharing your light.

Beautiful Tracy.
We've just had a thunderstorm here and now the sun is returning. I must check the light in the kitchen :-)

Love the way the light casts a shadow across your CLEAN surfaces!! We find ourselves grabbing a dust rag when the light does that! :)
Enjoy your red wine and soft days!

Tracy...your dancing light photos are so pretty. Your kitchen is lovely. I love cupboards full of glassware and bowls and I adore your little wine vignette.

Such a wet Summer some places are having! I hope you have a spot of warm weather as I know Summer is a relatively short season for you!!! Perhaps a rainbow can be spotted as you sip and enjoy the late afternoon sunshine.
That wine looks quite inviting :)
