"...summer's lease hath all too short a date..."
-- from William Shakespeare's Sonnet 18
Time to savor the sweet taste of summer... Time to enjoy the sunshine and slow evenings...
For the remainder of July I will be here at Pink Purl a little less often than has been usual -- taking a semi-blog break, you could say. Oh, I'll still be posting, and I'll be around visiting...but just slower to posting, visiting and will be online less.
There is a lot happening behind the scenes here that needs my better attention. Also a good many practical things with home & garden need seeing to as well. Since summer is so brief a season here in Norway, much sometimes needs to be crammed into the summer to get done before cold weather comes around again. I am also experiencing a huge burst of creative energy right now. A lot of ideas and projects are brewing and taking shape--very exciting! I look forward to a little extra time to focus on these things and more. Dear Husband has his birthday next week. And we also plan on a few more outings to enjoy in the next few weeks. It has been so good to have slow evenings together and have extra fun on the weekends -- that's what summer is for!
Shorter, photo posts will be the fare here during the next two weeks or so. (I am playing around with photography, and playing with Photoshop is something on my to-do list during my "break"... Dear Husband and I have been using Corel Painter, Painter X, and love it...but I want to tinker more with Photoshop too.)
Photos, fun... we'll see what happens! And I'll be dropping by to see you when I can and enjoy the summer with you...Or winter...whichever hemisphere you are in! Happy Days, my friends! :o)

Enjoy your burst of creative energy. Looking forward to seeing the resuts soon.

These cherries look delicious. Cherries in Japan are different from U.S. cherries.
I imagine summer is short in Norway, so I can understand why enjoying it and getting certain things done would be a priority.
We are enjoying weekly outings here too!
I look forward to your photos:)

Hi dear Tracy,
It is totally understandable, summer is time to enjoy to the fullest as here at this part of the globe it can last so little. I am curious to see all your projects. Today I will be posting a little thing I did last weekend. Another make do and mend for the new house.
Hope you have a fantastic weekend!
Lots of love and hugs. x

Hi Tracy! Oh yes, enjoy the most of this warm season while you can. The marble sculpture is truly amazing, wouldn't have known it's marble if you didn't mention. You will love Photoshop, I'm sure. Have a lovely weekend!

The cherries look delicious! I just had some yesterday, as a matter of fact. I keep some in my freezer. They're like a mini-healthy-popsicle that way! LOL!
Have a fun rest of your summer. Hope all is well with you and yours!

Enjoy your your Summer before Summer's lease is gone. John Mortimer's book Summer's Lease is an enjoyable read, BTW.
Those cherries look absolutely perfect and bursting with good flavor!

Yes, yes, yes! Enjoy all the summer you can get! And have fun with that camera of yours :-) I got a cherry pitter recently and am enjoying the sweet sweet crunch into a plump cherry.

Yes, enjoy your summer! When creativity strikes, one must go with it! I am a big fan of Photoshop (and Illustrator) -- once you get the basics down it's quite easy to get phenomenal results. Will look forward to your photo posts!
