Hello, everyone! We arrived home here to Norway safely mid-week after a looong day of travel. I caught a cold just before we went to the States, and only now just over all that, and now the jet lag... so finally feeling myself again. We had a WONDERFUL time back home with my family, and a string of lovely days cramming in as much fun and cozy time with them all as we could. The two weeks sure went fast... Much of our stay was all about family. Most photos very much family-oriented too, which I'm really not at liberty to share here. Sorry, girls... But I know you understand. The photo above is from a trip to Petco with our niece, a big pet & pet supplies store/chain that has lots of different fish and aquariums for sale, among other small pets. It's almost like a mini-zoo!
Now that we're over the worst of the jet lag "fog," we're starting to get back into the swing of things here, getting the mojo back. Vacation is over--as evidenced by the mountain of laundry now awaiting me, household chores, etc.! Charlie is very glad we're back, though. He purrs constantly. He was so happy we're back, that when I opened the suitcase to unpack, he hopped in one of them to take a snooze, and as if to say, "you'll not be leaving now!"
Many thanks for all your very happy comments left here while we were away. Unfortunately due to the very unreliable internet connection at the hotel we were staying at, I wasn't able to get online much at all while we were Stateside. So I really look forward to catching up with you all now. Give me a couple of days to do that, and I'll be right back here too... ;o)
With Love,
Glad you had a wonderful trip and that you are safely home (and surrounded by laundry ~ isn't that always the case?)! Cute photo of Charlie: either that suitcase is very small or Charlie is huge! I think the former is the case!

Welcome back, sounds like you had a nice time. Hope you get some rest from your long flight home. I don't think Charlie boy wants you to go anywhere for a while now. LOL That photo of him is just too cute, my cats do the same thing when we are packing to leave for vacation, always makes me feel guilty when I leave them. :-)

Tracy, I'm so glad that you enjoyed your visit back home. I always LOVE going back to Texas, and yet I'm also always happy to get back to my life and routine here in England. I hope that your cat doesn't sulk, though, like our cat Minstrel.
Thanks so much for your list of childhood favorites. Our "likes" are identical! I wish that the girls were old enough for Little Women, but not yet I don't think. Anne of Green Gables and the Little House books, for sure. This week I'm taking my oldest class (the 13 year olds) to Jane Austen House and we are watching Sense & Sensibility.

Welcome home, Tracy! I'm glad you had a nice time in the US with your family. I totally understand the issue with slow or expensive hotel internet service ..it happens to me often.
Hugs, Pat

Welcome back! Charlie knows how to pull the heart strings:)
Sounds like it was an enjoyable trip and glad to see you safely back. Awww .... I remember the jet lag fog.
You've sparked my interest in bone china now ... might have to visit some second hand shops.
Looking forward to the seeing more of your creative pursuits.

So funny to see Charlie curled up in your suitcase. We were home from our big adventure about 2 weeks and had to go away for a weekend. When the suitcases came out our marmalade kitty, Joey, was so upset. He wouldn't even let me get close to him to give him a hug. He knew we were going away again and he was definitely not happy. When we returned he was right at the door to greet us. I just know Charlie is definitely happy to have you home.
