You are all wonderful friends, you know that? Putting up with me teasing, asking you to keep coming back, etc. LOL! No doubt you are surprised, too, by so many posts in so many days here! Well, these are some busy, but very exciting days. And I'm so glad you're joining in along with me.
The "something fun," mentioned the other day, is a Pay It Forward handmade gift swap, or gift ring you could even call it. I hopped on this gift giving train over at my lovely friend Laney's blog this past weekend. She in turn got the word on the swap from Maddy, so stop by and see Maddy too.
Here's how the Pay It Forward gift swap works:
I will send a handmade gift to the first 3 people who leave a comment on my blog requesting to join this PIF exchange. I don’t know what that gift will be yet and you may not receive it tomorrow or next week… LOL… but you will receive it within 365 days, that is my promise! The only thing you have to do in return is pay it forward by making the same promise on your blog.
But I have gifts already made! Yes, gifts are awaiting! Do these look like something any one of you would like? Here's a pretty candy-colored zippered bag with yo-yo and button embellishment--great for cosmetics, travel, taking craft tools to classes, etc. There's also a necklace of glass beads and glass pearls in dusky blues and purples done in a knot technique--simple and elegant. And the last offering is a pair of charming corsages/brooches in fabric, ribbon and with vintage buttons. The first three readers to leave a comment will receive one of these handmade gifts--handcrafted by me, and each one unique! Please select your gift. But first come first serve...(I don't like that expression, too much like a sign in a shop, but you know what I mean ;o) A lot of times the gifts with these swaps are a surprise, but I thought I'd put my own twist on it and show you the gifts.
And if this wasn't enough to entice you...in each gift package will also be a delicious taste of Norway!
OK, my crafty friends, let's keep the gifts coming! Who will join me and keep the ring going round? If you decide to join in on the fun, drop me a line and let me know, for I'd like to see where the chain leads to. You can cut and paste the statement above into you posting. And this is for anyone who wants to or loves to craft--fiber lovers, bead/jewelry makers, knitters/crocheters, soap makers, metal sculptors, paper crafters--everyone. So spread the gift-giving joy and the blog love! Let's see who leaves the first comments here...
And do I dare ask you to come back here tomorrow? No teasing this time--honest! It's for a very good cause and I need some help.
But until then, wishing you all a Happy Day! :o)
Hi,
I couldn't resist...I just love to share my crafts and to see other peoples crafts!
I would love to join the PIF exchange.
Take care,
Alison x

Am I too late? I didn't even finish reading the post past "first 3 people!" Okay... I am going back to read the details, but I do want to play!

Yes! I went back and read and I accept the terms and I will play it forward. I like everything you make, so if you chose for me that would make for a fun surprise. I am giddy. I will come back tomorrow... for a good cause, or another one of your lovely posts. Now I am going to post a PIF. Thank you!

Sounds like a fun way to share. I've participated in seed swaps (though seeds never want to germinate for me) and have loved them!

I love this idea and am perpetuating it on my own blog - Not Much More Than This.
I am also tracking this through blogs back to the original source. I am thoroughly enjoying the new blogs I am visiting on the way.
My path includes:
Found on Life in the Lost World, who found on Just a Flip Flop Mom, who found on Appliqué Today, who found on Cotton Spice Blog, who traced the movement back to roxtarchicknits, who found here on Whimsical Knitting, who says she found it here on Musings from a Knucklehead. Musings links to Knit Tea, Lapdog Creations The Yarn Closet - not exactly sure where Musings found it, that wasn't clear. I started with Knit Tea, moved on to The Yarn Closet, and then Lapdog creations where I couldn't find out how to comment. Knit Tea signed up over at the Bag Lady and the Pro who jumped on the gift giving train when she found it on Days Go By, who found it on If Pony's could knit, who found it on I'd Rather Be Knitting. Okay, are you seeing the same thing I am? After the first two or three bloggers, this thing is a knitting thang LOL Anyway, and so my journey continues, bringing me to Jelly Wares, who found it on Dragonfly-Crafts, who saw the exchange around "blogsville" as she calls it, which led her to Tallulah House. Before that it was Tea Time and Roses, who found it on Pink Purl, who found a little bit of Serene Whimsy. Before that there was Maddy's Glass House, who heard of this at Two Lime Leaves, who signed up at devliégendekoe, who joined the party after visiting both the stitching room and Eleanor and Ruby. E and R signed up back at the stitching room, who found on Welcome to Blogland.
I just now realized that this has gone from a Pay it Forward to a Pass it Forward, somewhere in the last few blogs LOL I was having such a good time I didn't even notice until now. So I guess I have succeeded. It went from Pass to Pay between devliégendekoe and the stitching room. So with devliégendekoe I found my way to the beginning of the Pay it Forward. Yea!
