Hello, everyone! This week my Etsy shop closing sale has once again temporarily taken over life here at Chez Pink Purl... It's been a while since I've done a post like this--in featuring some lovely people, sharing great finds, Etsy sellers and other goodies. So for some Friday fun... Sit back and enjoy some eye candy I found and purchased during the summer!
My good friend Elizabeth, who writes at Retinal Perspectives, has newly opened an Etsy shop of same name--Retinal Perspectives! She offers card sets of her breathtaking photos. Her photos have a very spiritual, other-worldly quality, which really resonated with me. I was happy to take advantage of a pre-sale she was having and ordered this beautiful 5-cards set showing still moments of the fragrant lavender plant.
Another sweet Etsy find was the shop Paper and String. Sarah in the UK sells whimsical kits and felt. I purchased this fun felt cupcakes kit as well as some more felt to make more cupcakes after the kit! She has a wonderful selection of felts in all colors. And she blogs too at paper-and-string.
Angel Elements is a shop at Etsy specializing in custom digital art pendants and other jewelry. I couldn't resist these butterfly and floral pendants for gift-giving. Though I may keep that Japanese-inspired cherry floral one for myself... ;o)
Just lately some more fabric and yarn found their way into the studio... I've been on a yarn and fabric diet this year, and have been doing pretty good. Purchasing only for gifts or commissions. The pretty red & white fabrics are for a quilted wall hanging in mind for our entry hall--design to be determined yet. Just LOVED the fun prints. And the bright cotton yarns (Sandnes Garn's Mandarin Petit) are slated for a knitted gift project for a loved one... Stay tuned for more news on those projects soon.
And another treat... One of my Spa Cloths sets. This pretty soft blue trio (hand knitted by me) and a delicious coconut-scent soap from The Body Shop is a gift being given away at my dear friend Se'Lah's blog, Necessary Room, as part of some extra fun in connection with her *Gift of Jewels* pen-friend card project. My set will be available to win at Se'Lah's tomorrow, Saturday 21st August. So do stop by her place for taking a chance on a Pink Purl creation. And over the next several days items donated by other artists and crafters will be up for giveaways!
Need a little extra...? Charlie has a featured spot today at my other blog, A Certain Slant of Light. ;o)Wishing all you dear family & friends a sweet weekend now... May the little things bring big joys!
with Love,
Love all these, those photos are beautiful, cute felt, beautiful pendants (definitely keep one for yourself!) and love those fabrics and wools. Will look forward to seeing what quilt hanging you create. Off to visit Charlie. C xx

Oh, what fun and such great finds, and so beautifully displayed! I find Etsy so overwhelming and huge that I've given up looking for anything there, so for me this is extra interesting!
Love your spa cloth!

What an awesome post filled with such beautiful things. Love your spa cloths and so wish I could use scented soaps. I don't know how to knit but you certainly do a beautiful job of it. ♥

Thank you so much for linking to my little shop! I am so touched - and so very glad that you enjoyed your cards.
p.s. I did figure out how to brighten (manually) via Photoshop! It definitely helped. Thank you for the suggestion. :)

Give up that fabric and yarn diet! I tried it for about a month, but no more. I've decided life's too short and there are too many projects I want to try. You've found so many pretty Etsy finds. And, I think it's great that you support your on-line friends. Way to be!
